The Challenge
When we prompted Midjourney AI to envision Nigeria's future, the generated images painted a concerning picture – one that reflected the algorithms' analysis of our nation's past and present challenges. This AI-generated forecast served as a powerful wake-up call: if we continue on our current path, our future might be determined by our historical patterns rather than our potential.
Our Solution
Transformed this sobering AI prediction into a catalyst for change through a campaign that used artificial intelligence as a mirror to society. By contrasting Midjourney's algorithmic predictions with aspirational visuals of what Nigeria could become, we created a compelling narrative that emphasized the power of civic participation. The campaign's core message was clear: the future isn't written by algorithms – it's written by voters.
By framing voting as a direct way to "override" these AI predictions, we sparked conversations about civic responsibility and democratic participation. The campaign successfully transformed abstract concerns about Nigeria's future into tangible motivation for electoral participation, demonstrating how creative technology could drive civic engagement.
