The Challenge
Launching the first-ever joint Nigerian-South African Big Brother season required more than just merging two audiences – we needed to create a cultural phenomenon that would unite viewers across borders. The campaign had to honor both countries' rich Big Brother legacies while crafting a fresh narrative that would capture the epic scale of this unprecedented collaboration.

Our Solution
Led creative direction for a campaign that turned "Ziyakhala Wahala" (a fusion of Zulu and Nigerian Pidgin meaning "drama is coming") into a larger-than-life spectacle. We developed a three-phase strategy that built anticipation through mystery, revelation, and engagement:

Phase 1: The Mystery

-Conceptualized and executed an innovative guerrilla marketing campaign featuring massive giant footprints appearing overnight in major cities across both countries
- Directed the installation of large-scale foot cutouts in strategic locations, creating instant social media buzz and speculation
- Generated organic conversation about "The Giants" without revealing the Big Brother connection

Phase 2: The Revelation
- Created a cinematic teaser campaign showing colossal shadows of giants moving across iconic buildings in Lagos and Johannesburg
- Developed a visual language that merged Nigerian and South African cultural elements into a unified aesthetic
- Produced dramatic reveal content that connected the mysterious giants to the Big Brother franchise

Phase 3: The Engagement
- Designed an immersive social media strategy that kept audiences engaged across both markets
- Created real-time content that sparked cross-cultural conversations
- Developed interactive elements that encouraged viewer participation across borders

By turning a TV show launch into an epic cultural event, we created a campaign that transcended borders and set new standards for entertainment marketing in Africa.
